Facilities to support the New Urban approach of fully integrated communities are considered mixed use. For years, enforcement of zoning, finance restrictions and the market demand forced us in to suburban single purpose neighborhoods and buildings. In the mid-Atlantic area, market re-looked at antiquated zoning in the late 1990’s and started to allow for re-energizing of our cities and creation of new mixed use communities and buildings. Focus shifted to mass-transit locations, heavy with amenities and parking structures that play a part in the creation of new more vibrant communities.
Our projects have ranged from 100,000 SF office and retail buildings to 350,000 SF apartment, retail buildings and parking all located in new or evolving communities.
